Where have I been for the last few days? We were away in deepest Dorset<\/strong> celebrating my David’s<\/strong><\/span> significant birthday. Notice I haven’t revealed his age as it makes me feel incredibly old to have a son of that old!!!! We had a delightful weekend and fully enjoyed having our three families together. Our two grandchildren Ellen<\/strong> <\/span>(almost 4 months old) and Owen<\/strong><\/span> (almost 14 months) totally enchanted us.<\/p>\n

On Saturday David<\/strong> <\/span>and I and his dog Tully<\/strong> <\/span>went on for a lovely walk at Durlston<\/strong> – the cliffs along from\u00a0 Swanage.<\/strong> We heard the distinctive call of the Peregrine Falcon<\/strong><\/span> and were then treated to an acrobatic display really close to us. We were both buzzing and imagine our further surprise when we saw the bird perched on the cliff about 25 metres below us ( we were amused to see the word peregrine was written on the sea wall directly above the bird!)<\/p>\n

The two pictures I took are below- sadly by the time I got the camera out the flying bird was almost out of sight!<\/p>\n
