{"id":5519,"date":"2022-09-11T16:52:03","date_gmt":"2022-09-11T16:52:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thestorytraveller.co.uk\/blog\/?p=5519"},"modified":"2022-09-11T16:52:03","modified_gmt":"2022-09-11T16:52:03","slug":"wickets-wickets-and-wickets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thestorytraveller.co.uk\/blog\/?p=5519","title":{"rendered":"Wickets, Wickets and Wickets!!!!!!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Of course I am referring to the tumbling wickets at the <strong>Oval.<\/strong> I went yesterday to meet up with people I went to school with we were reliving when as spotty adolescents we went to the first three days of the famous <strong>Oval<\/strong> test of 1968. A memorable match for a variety of reasons. It was of course the <strong>Test Match<\/strong> I have written about before when we ended up in the <strong>England Dressing Room<\/strong>.\u00a0 I took the civilised transport option and travelled up by train. I met the <strong>Cotterells<\/strong> on the train who are<span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong> Joe Root&#8217;s<\/strong><\/span> in-laws so we had plenty to chat about. An exciting day&#8217;s cricket where if you blinked you missed something!<\/p>\n<p>I am off on the train again tomorrow to <strong>Hitchin<\/strong> (my old home town) to meet up with people I was at school with.
