Always a good evening with usually wide ranging discussions over a pint or two! We are discussing <span style=\"color: #993366;\"><strong>Waterland<\/strong><\/span> by <strong><span style=\"color: #993366;\">Graham Swift.<\/span><\/strong> A tragic story located in the Fens.<\/p>\n<p>I was with young people from <strong>Battersea<\/strong> bird watching today. They were thoroughly absorbed and had wonderful views of <strong>Goldfinches<\/strong> ( a Charm of 30+ birds and a G<strong>reat Spotted Woodpecker.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Finally cricket, the <strong>Gloucestershire Old Men<\/strong> won convincingly yesterday- I sat with my pads on for a long time but wasn&#8217;t needed!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Looking forward to Beer and Books tonight.
