Sadly no luck apart from a scattering of <span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>Starlings<\/strong><\/span> but no significant murmuration. Maybe I will have better luck in the next few days. However, I watched a <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Kingfisher<\/strong><\/span> darting over the canal. I was hoping to get a picture but every time I thought I could it shot off in their distinctive low flight. I did see about 30 <span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\"><strong>Fieldfares<\/strong><\/span> had only seen one\u00a0 previously this winter.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I went out birding this afternoon hoping for a Short Eared Owl or a good murmuration of Starlings.
