Country Life

Well at last a period of “summer” type weather and doesn’t everywhere look better? I did a decent ride on Wednesday with some serious hills but got very wet! Today Clare and I enjoyed a pleasant cycle to the Garden Centre beyond Nailsworth 25 miles all round. She is enjoying doing a bit more on the bike. Next Sunday the boys are aiming to cycle to Malvern.

I am looking to write for a Story Telling performance to coincide with the 1st World War anniversary at the moment I am thinking of playing a part of a soldier and include some poetry and music in the performance. It may be performed by two of us and I am hoping my brother Mike might be up for it. I will keep blogging about this as it develops but my aim is to have it written up by the end of the year and then start looking for performances.

I have enjoyed bird watching around here in the last few days seeing a Wood Sandpiper, Lapwing chicks, and 100s of Swifts being highlights.

I am off to play an all day game of cricket beyond Bristol tomorrow. I felt in better nick yesterday only got 16 but encouraging! We lost!
