End of Summer?????

I was supposed to play my last game of cricket for the season today and although both teams assembled the rain sadly didn’t relent! We were cheered with  a cracking tea that the Gloucestershire lads  had all contributed offerings! I have now packed away all my cricket kit for the winter, always a sad moment. A thoroughly enjoyable season, with a trophy to boot!

I have realised I have quite a few bookings for the late Autumn/ early Winter on the Story Telling front to a wide range of audiences. Some of those will be me as a solo performer and some will be the Two Severn Bores.

Now cricket has finished I can devote time to developing new material. That will be both researching stories and writing some!

  1. Well done, skipper, and well played Glos over 60s 3rd XI. We have watched the video of captain receiving medal and collecting trophy. Envious that you’re still playing and I haven’t since 2018. Even though my gear is in Central Europe with son I’m not sure I could field for over 40 overs anymore, though I do play 60 minutes of 5 a side football in a cage most Mondays. Enjoying time on a Spanish beach with grandchildren this week being kept busy. Hope the Mighty Hatters gain first win this month and not early October when Spurs visit the “Old Lady” at Kenilworth Road. Again well played, Sir. Wonder if you can stay with that team or if you have to move to over 70s next season!
