Back On It!!!!

You may be wondering where on earth The Story Traveller has been- we shot off to the Gower for a few days right after The Two Severn Bores Bristol gig. It was good to get away. Managed to finish my Book Club Book -we meet on Wednesday night. Saw plenty of birds – we stopped on the Gwent levels on our way out and WWT Llanelli today on our way back. What a scorcher today with high humidity ! Managed a decent ride on Saturday with plenty of climbing!

A couple of pictures taken on my phone below!

Should be blogging more regularly this week. Don’t forget the Two Severn Bores are at Quedgeley Library on Friday 6.30 start!

Away Day

I mentioned it was a busy time for me and that was an understatement!

Cricket was a disappointment our bowling didn’t really click and we allowed Worcestershire off the hook!

Had an action packed Wednesday doing my usual volunteering at Wick Court with old friends from Granton Primary School. I then rushed to Bristol to perform with Dan (the musical half of Two Severn Bores at Folk Tales. We performed 2 thirds of our Destiny or Fate show. We were delighted on how well it went.

Tired and Worn Out!!!!!

I said I was in a busy spell of Story Telling. Sunday was the Wick Court Open Day and I was Story Telling in four sessions with mixed audiences – I had to adapt accordingly! Over 400 people visited the farm and I had good sized numbers at each sessions ! I was exhausted with my efforts and as soon as I finished I pedalled home and then we set off to visit our Exeter family! We have just got back from looking after our delightful granddaughter Ellen– she is now 21 months old.

On Wednesday The Two Severn Bores are performing their Destiny or Fate show at Folk Tales in Bristol. Our next performance is at Quedgeley Library on Friday June 16th at 6.30 – we hope we can get a crowd for this!  We will also be performing the show again at Kingshill House on Friday 4th August.

Cricket tomorrow away against Worcestershire hoping we can bounce back from our indifferent performance last week.

Gigs, Gigs – A Busy Week!

Now half way through my run of Gigs – finished my sessions at Kingshill House. I always have to adapt to the audience and had to change my stories today because it was a much younger audience! I managed to cycle in and went onto an enjoyable lunch with Clare at The Old Spot.

The Two Severn Bores are rehearsing again tomorrow ahead of our gig on Wednesday at Folk Tales in Bristol. Below is a link to click on for our show at Quedgeley Library on Friday 16th June.
